Our terms of use
- A limit of 16 visits will be permitted to any facility in a calendar year
- Gates will be closed 15 minutes before the facility closes
- ATVs and double axle trailers will not be granted access to waste recovery facilities
- Material must be separated onsite and offloaded by hand
- Commercial vehicles will not be permitted onsite
- Commercial waste will not be accepted
- For safety of children under the age of 16 please ensure they remain within your vehicle while onsite.
- For safety of the general public and staff please ensure animals are secured within your vehicle while onsite.

Social distancing measures
- Maintain a safe physical distance of 2 m (6 ft) from staff and other visitors
- If you are feeling unwell, stay home
- Number of vehicles will be limited as needed to maintain physical distancing
- Pre-sort materials so they may be offloaded efficiently
- Anticipate line-ups and delays—please be patient and remain in your vehicle
All bagged waste must be in clear (transparent) bags. This is to reduce risk to our employees by minimizing contact with waste materials. Waste in dark (non-transparent) garbage bags will not be permitted on site. Blue transparent bags are not acceptable as they are for recycling only.
To ensure the safety of all site staff and visitors, facilities will close Saturdays between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to allow for additional cleaning practices.

- Scrap metal
- Electronics (excludes Harbour Grace, Cavendish and Old Perlican facilities)
- ATV tires
- Tires: highway, passenger, light truck, and motorcycle (rims removed)
- Propane tanks (valve removed)
- Construction and demolition waste
- Shingles
- Trees and branches less than 6" in diameter
We will not take anything that is recyclable or materials that decompose, including cardboard, books, clothing, food items, leaves, grass clippings, concrete, bricks, hazardous waste, liquids, and fish nets.
Wood chips may be available to the public at some of the sites for pick up free of charge—supply is limited and will vary by site. Contact us for more information.
